Eye Lashes by JackoComment: Love it! So many of the "eye" pictures are out of focus. This one is perfect. And I love the angles .. created by the forhead, the eyelid, the lashes. Well done. Good luck in the challenge! |

Window to the Soulby jaredldrComment: There are lots of eye pictures. What sets this one apart is the sharpness in the details. Congratulations and good luck! |

Eyes by librodoComment: Whoa... National Geographic here you come! Awesome picture, this one is going straight to the top of my list! I haven't seen the rest of the pictures yet, but if this doesn't get the blue, it's sure to be near the top! |

Long red curly hair and a bright smileby floydComment: It seems the strands of hair up to teh right are more in focus than her eyes and mouth. Perhaps a little more depth of field or a little better focus would have helped. |

Carpenter Handsby Prime_TimeComment: Perhaps a bit dark and out of focus... I'd like to see the hands a little better to understand just what is so interesting about this person's hands. |

I'm cute...and I know it!by mariomelComment: It could be an optical illusion stemming from the tracks, but I think there may be a slight clockwise rotation here... turn it back just a little and it would remove the distraction. Other than that, I love the autumn colors and the depth of field. The kid is cute too. Good luck in the challenge!

Green Eyesby BassieComment: Why upside down, just to be different? I turned it over and looked at it right side up and find it much less objectionable that way... Anyway, I would have voted higher if it were right side up. |

The Eyes: Je ne sais quoiby SweetlipsComment: I really like this idea... I just would expect that the shot, being so close, would be sharper... the eyes, the eye lashes, the eyebrows. With sharper features I would have voted it much higher. |

Red Hairby SteveJComment: Suggestions for improvement: Move the model forward (away from the wall) to get rid of the background shadow. With a shallow depth of field the move might also lessen the background distractions on the right. Use more ambient light ... or less front-on flash. On camera flash tends to "flatten" the face and, in this case, over expose a bit. Ambient light might have given more of a three dimensional look. On off-camera flash to the side would accomplish the same thing. |
