Looks like a long exposure with a very small aperture to star the points of light. Very nice. Perhaps a tad over sharp and over saturated. But then, that may be exactly the artistic effect you were going for. I like it. Good luck in the challenge!

Rainbows End

Very nice. I wanted to chase a rainbow once ... to get it into position over something of interest. By the time I could get in the car and get moving it was too far gone. So you were either in the right spot at the right time, or you really worked for this one. Great job. Love the colors, love the composition (subject at bottom with rainbow running across the frame to lead you to it, negative space on the right). Good luck in the challenge!

I know this is an artistic thing but, for me it is, perhaps, just "too much yellow". It's like the photo is screaming at me. I wonder if a simple hue/sat change towards a little more red might have made this image better? Also, I think adding a person walking along the road would have added a strong element to the image, giving the eye something to focus on. Plus, such an addition could have had contrasting colors which could have balanced the rest of the color... just a thought.

I like how the nuts are separated by the background via shallow depth of focus. But I wonder if just a little more DOF wouldn't have been better to keep the bottom left front in focus. Good luck in the challenge.

What a wonderful scene. This picture makes me want to visit this place some day. I love the autumn colors. The "softness" of the photo makes it interesting. I keep wondering what it might look like if it were sharp instead of soft, but that's another photo. :-) Great image. Good luck in the challenge!

Two words: Stunningly beautiful. Just a perfect capture of an autumn morning out on the calm stillness of a lake. The colors of the leaves are awesome. The reflection of the same just adds to the effect. The sharpness in the detail, all the way from the boat to the trees is perfect. And, I must say, it truly is the boater that makes this picture. Had you taken two pictures, one with and one without, this one would win hands down. GOOD WORK! I hope to see this image at the top of the finishers list.
