Beauty of Natureby BrinComment: Very nice. The addition of the bird completes an already beautiful landscape. I think I would have prefered the bird along the left third... but that is such a minor nit. Excellent colors. Perhaps a tad oversharpened in the cliffs. I sometimes use the history brush and paint back the unsharpened image over top of areas I don't want sharpened (or if I don't want sharpened as much, I use a low opacity). Anyway, nicely done! Good luck in the challenge! |

True Innocenceby DeniseBernadetteComment: I would probably greatly lower the saturation on this... the harsh green in the background is destracting me from looking at the foreground. |

In the Stillby justineComment: I always struggle with this in my own images and think you've fallen into the same trap I do. The image as presented here looks a tad oversharpened. I'm still trying to perfect my own sharpening technique (especially when it comes to downsizing as that it has such a huge impact on the image), I simply recommend playing around a bit looking for what works. Beyond that ... I really love the colors you've captured here! Simply amazing! Makes me wish I were there. Good luck in the challenge! |

Virginia Waterleafby FrostyPawsComment: I really like this shot. And especially like that you used side lighting. I think just a tad more light on the front of the subject would have helped give the plant some more life. |

Prideby JinjitComment: It's curious that the white on the right (the bird's left side) is pretty much "blown" (i.e. no detail left in the white area) and yet the light source is apparently on the left (the bird's right) as can be seen in the shadow along the neck. So how did the white get blown?
Regardless... this is an amazing shot! I love the angle and the detail in all other areas except the white spot. The shallow DOF is a nice addition. And I love that you got the eye in perfect focus... that's a killer. Very nicely done! |

Beauty of lightby dimitriiComment: I really like the tones and the sharpness in this image... but dang, I wish it didn't look like I was looking up his butt. Maybe if you flipped the picture so that it looked like he was flying up to the top right? (or maybe not) Good luck in the challenge. |

Puppy Loveby joyinlightComment: I think I would have titled this one "Adam and Eve". I love the close cropping... Good luck in the challenge! |
