I'm really disappointed that this shot didn't fare any better in this challenge. The rich color tones are so nice, especially how they change abruptly at the gate line. This is not a typical pretty photo, but it has so many excellent qualities, as I mentioned below, that I hope you're really happy with it despite its score.

Very nice vantage point and a beautiful photo. My personal preference would be to lower the horizon a bit to put the Space Needle right on the top left third line. The only other thing I notice is that the mountain looks a bit odd, either from haze or overprocessing. Still, this is a really nice photo - one of the best in the challenge.

This looks like it was a fun trip! I usually avoid noontime shots, but I think that might have been a better time for this photo since the shadows are so dark. I also think this shot might benefit from a bit more contrast to really highlight the colorful striations. Still, this is a really nice photo and a great memento from your vacation. :-)
