Thanks to those who commented. I enjoyed this photo the most so that is why I submitted it, although I know it did not totally fit the challenge it was very complex. For those who asked the water “creatures” are actually a type of seaweed common in the San Juan Islands here in Washington State. On to the next challenge!

Now this shot speaks complexity to me, great subject with much emption. I think technically it could be better and would have scored higher from me had it been a little sharper and maybe cropped closer to the shanty town. Good job overall.

Old Leatherlips

For me anyway I think the lighting takes away from this shot. Maybe either a more uniform shadow or wait till it is in full light? Even a closer crop of just a portion of the face might have been an improvement. Keep trying (like me the 5.0 guy) and good luck.

I get what you’re trying to say here but it just does not do it for me. Unless I knew the subject I would never have guessed this shot represented complexity. Sorry but it just does not have any pizzazz.

This shot does not speak to the complexity of the apparent subject. Sorry, but it is otherwise pretty bland for me. Maybe you could try a more detailed shot of the computer innards like some of the others entered in this challenge. Keep trying and good luck.

Definitely complex. Good detail and clarity. For me I think it would have been better with a closer crop and without the groom’s arms in it. But hey, I’m an average 5.0 guy.
