The Dealby rhipsterComment: Cool candid. I think going monochrome was a good choice for this image, and those subjects. An engaging scene. Good job :-) |

Three Geeseby artvetComment: Interesting image. The grain adds definitely, IMO. The geese stand out well. I like the layered look. A daring entry, but that is what free studies are for, I feel. I like daring, so I say, Well done! It's daring, but it works. |

Sunburstby bfbagginsComment: Nice detail and good strong composition. Lighting seems a little 'flat' though. |

Seascapeby jazzmanmgtComment: Hmm, you'll probably hear this a ton, but you really should take full advantage of the 640 px allowed. There is a great tutorial on the site about sizing and preparing photos for challenges (Learn |

Day 6: A Moment of Silenceby Blue MoonComment: Oh, this is a great shot. Very emotive. I agree as a couple of the commenters said, not overdone at all, but yet still very strong, and quite touching. Your 'weird' angle and crop actually really help drive the interest of the shot, it is quite engaging. Your story is great. Yes, many people could connect with that very well. But even apart from the story, the image allows the viewer to go in many different directions in their intrepretation, and I really like that in a shot. I could go down several different paths with it myself! Very good photography. This is going in my favs now :-) |
