Feast on concreteby iatomsiComment: This could be a good idea? But I find the composition to be weak and lacking any cohesion of the elements as presented. This perspective is not moving at all, it would appear that you just stood there and took a quick snapshot at the ground. The bones maybe have some interest, but the squashed food is not very appealing. And overall, try as I might, I can't really see any connection at all to the 'Construction' theme of this challenge. |

The American Dream: A Home in Suburbiaby Prof_FateComment: You've tied this in to make the shot work well for this challenge IMO. The sign, the house nearly finished in the background and even the truck out front conveys a story to the viewer nicely. One thing that is kind of distracting to my eye is the sky over top of the sign jutting out. I'm wondering if maybe cropping down to the top of the sign would make for a little stronger presentation? |

Crane-ial Nerveby alanbataarComment: Wowsers. Havn't seen quite this same perspective in the challenge. Obviously, the height here is what makes this shot kind of cool. Heck, I'd be petrified beyond all comprehension up there , kind of scary even looking at this pic :-P , so extra points just for having the nerve to go up there. |

What's This?by lucid mindComment: An interesting idea. Could be a good subject. It seems out of focus though. This presentation seems kind of lacking. It looks like you just saw this stuff and stood there and took a quick snapshot of it. Perhaps a different perspective/angle would make for a stronger photo? |

Building Hammersby colourBlindComment: To me, shots of 'toys' are usually not very appealing. However, this photo I think is executed brilliantly. Technically, lighting, focus etc. - great. The composition is wonderful, uncluttered, purposeful, pleasing to view. The pose and 'expression' on the toy are great. Oh, did you get a model release? hehehe. I like the black background, it really works well here. I think what really ties the whole thing together and makes it really work for me is of course, the hammer. Very refreshing, I quite like the photo. Very nice job. |

A Slow Restorationby stevenComment: Although a nice photo, even with the title it doesn't seem to fit the challenge to me. |

No Left Turnsby oOWonderBreadOoComment: Beautiful shot. I really like how you've composed it. Awesome lines and a great vanishing point. I also like the starburst effects on the lights. |
