Wow! That is really cool. It does look like a stallion to me! I agree with armelle, a little tweaking like that could really add a little definition, and then, wow, that would be neat, it is already so cool. I've tried to take some shots of fires before (it's kind of fascinating) but I never had anything turn out like that before. Just really, really cool :-)

Very nice. Good detail. Great rich colors. I really like the perspective here, very interesting and captivating. Nice lines in the shot and I also really like how the foreground arch opposes the back arch. Nice shot.

Creative, and yes definitely haunting. Interesting, but I find the narrow, long framing somehow adds to the overall feeling. Neat shot.

A good subject. Fits the challenge, although I think in this particular challenge, a stronger connection might be made if more of the actual wooden body were showing, here the attention is drawn strongly to the parts, especially the bridge, which is of course metal. Lighting is not bad, there are no unwanted heavy shadows or bright/hot spots, although I think maybe a little tweaking in editing (levels or curves adj. and maybe some brightness/contrast) could enhance the presentation. Compositionally, although dramatic angles and perspectives can be great, I feel that this straight on approach works and has a good interest level. However, it seems that the specific framing/cropping takes a little away from the image though, due to the parts being cut off (the pickup, knife switch, tone knob and jack plug). It's like when you view a photo of people and a head, or arm or leg is cutoff in the frame, unless it is obviously purposeful for that composition, it comes off as accidental and unsettling. It does seem that you have a good eye and feel, and chose a good subject. A little attention to detail can make a 'good' photo 'great'. :-)

A good subject, fits the challenge well. Composed nicely. Don't know if it's just the focus or your chosen dof, but it seems a little off. Also something feels unnatural and oddly unsettling about the image. The grass towards the back, and the framing in the back look quite bright, and the white buildings in the background are very bright, appear blown out actually. But the foreground and especially the sky just doesn't seem to correlate with that. Can't tell if it's in the editing, or if the shot was taken close to dark with bright lights in the area or what, but very unsettling.

A very refreshing and creative approach to the challenge. A nice clean purposeful composition. A slight suggestion for improvement, maybe show more of the man's face. There is such a great expression on the boy, so intense and focused on the job at hand, I think if you could see the man's face as well would really help drive the story.

Nice shot. Very tasteful composition. I like it being in silhouette. The sky has a nice gradient to it. I also like the horses pose and the tail billowing out, it gives a nice sense of motion to the photo.
