Very good capture of the squirrel. Composed nicely and works with the square crop. Don't know if it's what you were going for, but the photo seems very green. Makes the squirrel look kind of un-natural.

Well, you're probably getting hammered in the voting on this one. Not necessarily a bad thing in this case, depending on what you were going for. If this is just a lame attempt at pre-pubescent humor...try growing up. But...if you actually thought this one out, and were trying to invoke a reaction from the viewer, than a gleaming success. You caught my attention. An extremely negative gut reaction, but a strong reaction none the less. A bowl full of stale piss, very high on my list of disgusting things :-) On the technical side, perhaps the presentation could be a little stronger. The point of view not to bad, a bit mundane, but it is relatable. I don't like how the front of the bowl is cut off though. And there does seem to be just a bit of a clockwise skew to the image. It is very slight, but I think to play on the symmetry in the shot, care should be taken to be dead on, especially for a square crop. Lighting seems to be a tad harsh, like maybe you used on board flash? If so, perhaps diffusing it some could help. The whites of the bowl just come across a little too harsh, on the verge of being blown out, and heavy shadows at the top of the image from the acute angle. Focus does seem like it could be a little sharper. And maybe a smaller aperture to increase dof could make a little difference.
Overall, not very appealing to me personally, subject matter wise, but it does invoke a strong reaction. Like 'Ewww!!!' And technically, not horrible, but could definitely be stronger. And like I said, if a shot at the brown, or 'potty' humor, then I'm just not diggin' it. Might be different without the stale piss. Best of luck.

Very, very cool shot. You've composed it very smartly, this is a shot that looks thought out and planned for a square crop, and it works very well IMO. Obviously a superb use of dof. The oof patch of shrooms give great context to the shot, but your subject pops right out nicely. Great detail, and I really like, and would like to see how, your lighting. Shows nice texture, and adds just a touch of drama without being pretentious. I can't really think of any suggestions for improvement. Maybe just a wee bit more foreground, but the image looks pretty darned good as is. I like it. Great job :-)

hehehe, clever idea :-) Great detail and clarity. Good placement of the 'chiquita' sticker. The image works very well as a square crop, IMO. I can see where some folks might not care for the yellow border, but I'm thinking it just works well with the color schemes, and the concept. I think it really adds to the overall vivid, strong presentation. Lighting is pretty good overall, it does seem just a little strong coming in on the left, but just very slightly. A great shot though, very clever and cute indeed, and well executed, and well presented. Nice job :-)

Sure, Kiss maybe wasn't the dominating powerhouse that they were in the 70's, but they were definitely alive and well and putting stuff out in the 80's! They have some of the most rock solid fans there are (try telling any Kiss Army member they weren't an 80's band!) And as TC points out, they were still in makeup til 83, and had some hits in the 80's. The photo is just great though. It reminds me of when the guys all put out a solo album. Maybe a square crop would make it feel like an album cover :-)

I like this shot. Tells a good 'slice of life' story. Very crisp, and clean and uncluttered. I might like a slightly tighter crop, but maybe that is just taste. A very nice shot though, and great interest factor. Nice job :-)
