Ancient and Modern by e301Comment: Interesting concept - very well executed. I love the mellow colors from the window and the light is not too bright. I might have liked to see the computer on (but I understand photographing a screen isn't the easiest thing to do). Strong composition with the lines of the gothic arch and open windows. |

Dead or Alive / Kill or be Killedby JackoComment: Fascinating capture! I love the detail, all the hais and translucence of the wings. The dirt and dust is a little distracting but not enough to lower the score (could easily be fixed w/clone but not under open challenge rules) |

The DOF and focus on the water lends itself to your title and interpretation of the challenge well. I might have liked to see more of a diagonal, but I recognize the limitations of the compostion based on all light eminating from the candle. |

Bright Night in the Big Appleby janoComment: An interesting composition of lights - very soft and I'm not sure if that's intentional. The blacks are very dark, which highlights the theme of the challenge well. The colors are super - rich and luminous. I like the different directions going on - the arrow, and then all the upright signs. |

Passes: The Haves vs The Have Notsby Go-KLComment: This is a highly original view of this challenge. I like the perspective and the line of the railing as it goes from foreground left to bg right - ending visually with the post and countdown. I'm curious to see it in color - I like the monochrome choice for the challenge. |
