I Miss the Trainby bearbearComment: Unique composition with the two levels of bricks in this shot. Detail level is good.
Shame we don't have all the time in the world to wait until the weather/sky conditions are right. A darker sky would have helped.
If you have Photoshop, one way to darken the sky a bit would be to go into the selective colors, drop-down to the white and move the black slider over and watch what happens. All legal as it is doing to all the white in the image. |

Back in the day, the trains...by notbiscuitComment: Well seen and composed.
Shame we don't have all the time in the world to wait until the weather/sky conditions are right. A dark, moody sky would have really helped.

alone by the seaby JohannesFrankComment: Wonderful composition and boy oh boy what that sky does for it!
Reds a bit too saturated, but took nothing away because of it.
After looking back on this, I feel the reds are right on for the shot and kicking it up to a 10 now. One of my favorites, and into my favorites! |

Vultures and the remains of a train stationby itripnComment: I passed by this on the first go-around, voting only, as needed to come back to it.
That being done, the post-processing used here makes this look like a 40-50 yer photograph. Well seen ! |

Forgottenby shadowangelComment: Mixed feelings on this one.
The building is horizontal, yet the crop is vertical. Kinda' throws things off in my opinion.
Well seen though and good use of the horizonatls breaking up the shot. |

Can You Find the Matches?by OneSweetSinComment: Not sure I get the title to picture correlation here. I see what looks to be a mess in an abandoned building/stairwell though. A little down on the brightness would richen this shot, |

Last shot on the trenchby marvinComment: I'm sure the area was bleak and lacking much in the way of life, but maybe a hue shift on the yellow channel with a slight increase in sauration and a drop in brightness would give this a richer, deeper feel to it. |

Abandoned Parking Garageby jigglebugComment: Well seen capturing the shadows and intersecting lines.
Can't say this stands out as abandoned, but give all the benefit of the doubt in this challenge and assume it so.
Was the blur intentional?

Peu de souvenirs...by spaque99Comment: I'm finding myself leaning en petit peu just looking at it.
:)
Very unusual building you captured here and can't help but to wonder if it really appears that crooked. Shame it's an open challenge and you couldn't clone out/burn the lights on the building to the left. |

Remebering.....My Best Friendby shabri9Comment: Between the image and the title, you have presented a very sad story here.
I'm not sure if all the small branches help of hurt this shot, but the over-exposed/high contrast areas of the branches and house do. This appears to be a shot that holds a special meaning and know there is only so much that can be done in an open challlenge in the way of fixing it. |
