midnight in the gardenby grigrigirlComment: Wonderous things happen going through someone's portfolio.
Clicked on this thumbnail and had no idea what I was in for.
Not sure many portraits on this site, or anywhere else for that matter, have caused so many mixed emotions. Had chills for a second, then felt a warmth, followed by a trance of sorts. Then sat and stared.
As read your comments section, I was deeply moved and can't even begin to describe the overall experience.
Amazing work Julia!
An instant favorite and will be back to revist often!! |

The Eyes of Beautyby beautyqn25Comment: Superb portrait here.
Her eyes simply jump off the page!!
My own preference says the earrings are a touch to mature for her, but can see it was part of the desired effect. Well done of the lighting too. |

I've come back and looked at this how many times now? LOL
Even wanted to visualize how it would looked framed.

Maybe I'm going to have to re-decorate my house so it will have a place. Message edited by author 2005-07-08 15:25:28. |

Where to look?by zerodeanComment: Guess I'm the odd guy out in the crowd.
Technically the shot has a lot of merit in the lighting & levels, pose is not to my liking, but that's me.
What does bug me here is the look in her eyes. There is a somewhat "stoned" look in my opinion, and that coupled with the pose, makes the overall appearance look a bit, and forgive my being blunt here, trashy.
An attractive woman's face simply lights up with a genuine smile.
Perfect example of what I am referring to is a shot in your wonderful porfolio:
Just my personal opinion, and my step out on the limb of honesty. Message edited by author 2005-06-07 02:22:16. |

How did I miss one before?
It's gorgeous, and was not selected just to make your 100th either. |
