Bravo on the lighting AND the shot - one I'm sure will be cherished for years to come!
One small suggestion? Do the faded perimeter in a new layer, then slowly erase back in the hair on the young girl's head before flattening the image. (or even a tighter crop on top?) Seems to catch my eye too much. Maybe it's just me...

I would have loved to have the highlights in control too, but this one was headed for the trashcan originally, as it was a chance encounter and still had my camera in manual.

I've been in NYC and have seen the Macy's 3 barge fireworks display and have
