Only real dig here is the two main focal points competing with each other, drawing my eyes from one to the other and back. |

... behind that old empty millby GnarfComment: My eyes are naturally drawn to the two large cracks in the ice more than anything here. After looking around, the image feels harsh and perhaps a bit too high in contrast. Perhaps a softer focus in the post-processing would ease things up a tad. The sky/highlights are pretty far gone though. |

Different coloursby bogusComment: Very unusual image and suspect you inverted the yellows or the image as a whole? The pole cutting across the image like that is probably more of a deterrant in the visual appeal than anything else. |

;)
I'm thinking a low point of view angle may have been better here to make the toad stand out more by having a shallow depth of field, yet retain it's camouflage. The angle this was taken at really doesn't present itself in a very interesting manner. |
