Excellent "classic" newpaper look and feel. Good use of shutter speed and grain. My only complaint is that it's so dead center, Crop of about 3/4 of the distance from the left edge and the whitish cab and you have a much stronger image. Oh - and get a better proof reader as " Fair" should be FARE! But then again - if you are imiitating modern newspapers - maybe that was intentional! Nice job.

Exposure is right on in very overcast (I assume) flat lighting. The dog in the foreground is dead center - not to my taste. (You could ealily crop from the left to about where the little guy in the red trunks is - without huring the image.) The title is cutesy - but I doubt if an editor would buy into it.

I'm having a terrible time with your image - trying to find a way I might see it in a newspaper. Except for the terrible white band at the bottom - the exposue seems accurate and the red eye provides a point of interest. But honestly, other than that, it has too many flaws for me to give it more than a mediocre score.

As news, it is a real stretch - except for small town newspapers - but that's OK! Great idea, nice exposure and viewpoint. The composition - with the massive OOF in the very foreground was not your best choice. Crop the bottom to the wooden stick and I'd bet you will like it better.

Definitely a news event. Colors are very nice but it does seem pretty busy. Perhaps if you had knealed down and shot up more- you could have eliminated most of the spectators?

This image is very formal and regal - as it should be. Nice exposure, but the bright white on the right top is unfortunate. Composition is ok but ever-so-slightly tilted. Your title does indeed make it a news story..... it's possible (many not too plausible though.)

It has a nice feel to it. Here's my suggestions to make it stronger. 1) The boat isnn't centered, but I'd like to see it a bit further left in the frame. 2) Did you try leaving the sky grayscale - it mat work better, and 3) The border pulls me away from the scene.
