I think I know whats missing, her face. It is quite hard to make a very telling portrait without showing someone's face since that is what we look for first in communicating any emotion. The motion works well because she does appear to be in pretty decent focus and it definetly gives it a playfull feel. I would keep experiementing with them, you can do some fantasic stuff with a slightly longer than average shutter speed.

I don't think the space up top adds to the shot in any way. I'd just crop it down and have the baby centered.

Very nice shot, my only issue with it is the forehead is really bright, basically blown out. I would bring it down ever so slightly to get a little bit of detail.

The color work is a little crazy. I can handle the purple sky but not that bright blue horizon line. Other than that, this does a pretty good job saying jump without anyone actually jumping. Cool idea.
