A Hard Hitby NowaytotellComment: As others have said a bit too busy, the sharpness and subject are very good. To improve either crop or have a shallow depth of field so the background is blurred. Perhaps if this were a bit less bright people would have scored this slightly better too, IMHO. Good first challenge, stick around, you'll learn hraps. |

oby mandyturnerComment: Brightness/contrast always helps ib b/w and would do so here imho. The subject is unique and that's always good. I'm nt sure what it is, though for a reason I can't figure our rhis feels fun and invites you into the photo. Nice. |

Just hangin' outby mandyturnerComment: Very cute. Deserved it's top 20. The different faces posed, and the closeness brings the sense of family to the fore. The youngest's cgeejy smile is a highlight for mine. |

make believeby mandyturnerComment: Would have rated this fifty billion out of ten. It looks almost like a fairy doll, gorgeous subject, simply a stunning photo, composition, sepia, depth of field, all make this photo, I love how she looks like she's floating. |

Grooving Vanby TheStickComment: The colour is very vibrant, makes the compostion work. The VW was a very circular shaped car, nice pick and nice pic. As other's have said, bigger is better, but there you go. PS - you wouldn't have wanted to see the colour of the river this day, an icky brown colour, not worth it. Dun rominby horsemadgirlComment: I love the grass writhing around the subject, frames it really well for mine. Sepia helps in this kind of challenge, though I may well have gone for the b/w, but I'm biased. Very nostalgic and a great emotive photo. |

Looking for a picture to take for the darkness photo competition!!by horsemadgirlComment: Lovely. Even though the horizon is in the centre of the frame, this is by no means detracts from the photo. It's slightly distracting for the horizong to go through the head of the photographer - maybe a lower vantage point would have helped. The colour and texture make this shot. Memories of Another Lifeby tryals15Comment: The subject is great, the colour is good, the textures are helpful. The lights are a bit distracting. As are the posts, if you could I would have tried to frame it so that the tower was not obstructed at all, however despite all that, a very nice photo. |

A Beautiful Plungeby tryals15Comment: And what a point of view it is - beautiful plunge is very true. The colour, texture of the rocks the shape of the inlet all are very good. The foliage is a bit distracting. Overall a very nice photo. |
