I don't quite understand the title, but I like the picture. Nicely focussed, the background suitably blurred. it is very good. I think the subject deserves some credit too. Altogether a good portrait.

Shame on you, making poor owen sleep on the floor. Although the contrasts within the picture are strong, there is an overall 'sameness' about it which is disconcerting. I would like to have seen the baby highlighted still more, or the background slightly blurred

As a 'desktop'... maybe? I don't think that there is as much colour underwater as there used to be, so it is good to see something that isn't grey.

This is a good shot of the Colosseum, from an unusual angle; nevertheles, this building has been so overexposed that it is hard to make it interesting. I think I would have waited for the light to change.

Do you mean, a 'slender' grip on life, or perhaps 'slender' reeds. Whichever, I'm a bit doubtful about the purple tinge (although it adds a bit of interest) and I think this is a bit too messy. I don't mean that ina derogatory sense, just that there is too much rather untidy detail.. a little bit of 'order' might have helped . Nevertheless, it has something.

This is a peaceful image with, I think, just the right amount of head-room over the trees and just about the right amount of reflection in the water. When I say 'right'... what I mean is, it is the way I would like to have done it. (I'm not sure if that is 'right')

This must be a State Capital; which one? It has all the ingredients. Even the Venetian type campanile. It is a well-taken night shot, using the floodlighting and the street-lighting to the best advantage
