I can almost smell the wood polish on these beautiful doors. You have captured the essence of this era. Well done. |

I really like the textures and tones you have achieved in this image. I find it very interesting that the padlock remains at an angle, although it looks as though it hasn't actually been used in a very long time. There are no scrape marks along the neck of the lock to indicate it has been opened and closed frequently. I wonder how long it has defied gravity? Very good job!! |

Fascinating image! The doors are beautiful and you have captured the texture of the carvings very well. the reflections in the glass, far from being distracting, create an additional dimension of interest. |

What an interesting find! I assume the door opens onto a stairwell, but it looks like a charming hidden entrance for children. The house numbers and the coleus add to the mystery and charm. |

I love the soothing colors in this image. The man in his blue shirt provides a perfect focal point. I like that two windows are shuttered, two are not, and two are partially open. This is a beautiful and interesting image - well done! |

The shapes and the contrast of light and dark work very well here.

I kept thinking about this image after I voted on this challenge and, although I gave it a good score to begin with, I came back to bump it up. I would love to know the rest of the story here. Great find!! |
