pale fenceby holdingtimeComment: The fence and the snow would have sufficed. I think your score may suffer due to the presence of several, "non light" items.
Good photo nonetheless. |

Wall of lightby GoldBerryComment: This is very nice indeed. Too bad about the shadows.... they tend to detract from the photo, particularly that portion covering the right shoulder. This is my highest scoring pic so far.... I will be back........ |

Translucenceby hannafateComment: Either I need some serious calibration of my monitor or the background on this photo is anything but white. |

Free spiritby GoldBerryComment: I see no reference whatsover to the 70's in this photo. The jeans, replete with holes were more an 80's thing,,,
Having had the good fortune of enjoying the 70's, the title utilized in this instance is not in keeping with the "Free Spirits" I had the pleasure to encounter during that time frame.
Not a bad photo, but from my perspective, did not meet the challenge.

Why ?by RUEDISCHMUTZComment: This is a very poweful statement to those of us old enough to remember the sacrifices made by our brothers... but it may be lost on several DPC members. I really do like this and it is to date my favorite. I am certain I will be back to upgrade the score once I have completed viewing all the submissions. |

"Two Policies, One Nation"by Doug ScrogginsComment: Fantastic interpretation.... This really exemplifies tthe two camps that dominated this time period. I recall the peaceniks, and other forms of demonstration ...and how vietnam war vets were percieved and treated upon their return.
The black and white for me is also reflective of the ideologies of the day.... as most folks on both sides of the issue viewed things in black and white terms only.
My initial score is an 8, but I will most certainly re-visit the one again.\
Great job. |

...it's where it takes you...by MontereykiddoComment: I really do believe you were seriously underated in this competition. I won't tell you it was my favorite, but I did nonetheless like it enough to give it an 8. Good luck to you in your future endeavours.

I Am My Work -- the Thorn that Weeps, & Holds the Sky Entire...by Bear_MusicComment: Originally posted by funny: what a moron. the challenge is "SELF PORTRAIT. Get a clue |
While I do believe that everyone is entitled to an opinion... the drivel spewed by this voter is mindless and serves no useful purpose.
In addition, when one considers the name used by this voter... one can get a full appreciation of exactly the type of person we are dealing with in this instance.
It certainly would be a sad state of affairs, if a person such a Bear_Music, left this forum due to such a mindless attack on his submission.
You may not always agree with some of the submissions made, but that does not give one licence to demean the creator of the photographs.
