Cold Creek Tank #2by BlackboxComment: Perhaps its just me, but it seems like there is a possibility that the horizon is a tad tilted.
I have since reviewed the image and now realize I was mistaken. Well done. Message edited by author 2006-07-26 00:28:49. |

Oh Wader, there's a fly in my soup.by NobodyComment: This is a great capture of one of the fastest birds on the beach. I have no idea whether the shadow you captured occurred via luck or design, but it most certainly adds to the depiction of motion.
Very well done.... I look forward to re-visiting this image after the contest as I hope to find out the particulars regarding this image. |

Westby gmarceauComment: I am totally guessing here, but this looks like the bridge at Providence RI.
The image might have been improved ever so slightly had you managed to incorporate more of the bridge in the image, and cropping out that area to the left of the Lighthouse, a factor which would have accentuated the leading lines, and have guided the viewers from the bridge to lighthouse and sun.
Great job nonetheless. |

The Lighthouse on the beachby bogusComment: The composition of this image leaves a tad to be desired, and I fear that the sun flares will have a negative impact on your score.
I do hope you will not think of me as unduly harsh, but rather as one who is trying to help you avoid some of the common pratfalls associated with photography. You might consider investing in a polarizer filter, and read some of the materials dealing with the Rule of thirds and "Leading Lines"
Good luck to you in the challenge. |

reflectionby ralphComment: Oh my... I just came across this gem. You truly have me puzzled with the "Reflection" aspect, as believe what I am looking at is refraction. Regardless, it is still a beautiful image that should score very well. |

Hot Potatoby leafComment: Nice clear image, but abstract??? Kudos on producing a very nice image, but I fear some may not be as generous as I, and you may feel the wrath of some of the DNMC voters. |

Banana Slasherby Jason_CrossComment: Good idea and well executed. THe lighting and background are quite effective in drawing your attention to the subject matter. My only quibble with this image is that the reflection at the bottom portion of the image is a bit of a distraction. |

Red Pepperby livitupComment: Nice image but the "Abstract" aspect is, at least from my perspective, not at the forefront, and this may cost you on your overall score. |

Seeds of Lifeby sherpetComment: I have re-visited this image on three occasions thus far, and this is my first voting pass. I truly love what you did here. The colours, textures and geometric lines all combine to form a truly artistic image. |
