This is a lovely shot. I am sure you intended this, but the background looks like a landscape with successive layers further and further away. Sort of like mountains at sunset. Beautifully composed. Beautifully thought out. Beautifully executed. 10

In my view, this is not the best shot in the challenge, and it doesn't meet the challenge very well in the sense of not being recognizeable. However, it is the coolest idea in the challenge, with no close competition, and is well executed! I gave it a 10 and I hope it ribbons!

Although a close up, it fails to meet the notion of an unrecognizable abstract for me. Greater contrast might have also helped. Try to use the entire dynamic tonal range if you can and I think it will help.

If this image had greater tonal range I would have liked it better. The background in the top right detracts in my opinion.
