My grandmother's handsby GijaMiniComment: I would prefer to see something in precise focus. It gives the eye a place to rest and draws attention to the subject. Also not sure this meets the challenge. |

New Easter Candyby CyBri2000Comment: It feels to me that the highlights are over exposed. It's somewhat distracting to me, and detracts from the texture of the subject which could have been quite interesting. |

Opening Statement!by BosborneComment: I would prefer less saturation. The very high saturation obscures details I would prefer to see. |

Dualityby neophyteComment: Easy does it on the sharpening. This is a bit too much for my taste. |

Happy Freak'n Easterby DefyTimeComment: This image is perfect. In 127,195 bytes it perfectly conveys the bored and disrespectful and intolerant culture of many of our young people ... the failure to accept parental values ... the intolerance of parental point of view that she is still a child held back from taking her rightful place in life. The colors are perfect with the background clashing violently with the color of the sweater. The choice of a benign Christian holy day is the perfect venue for the challenge of authority. No frilly Easter dress here. No "Pappa's girl" image of devotion here. No care that folks might not approve of the nicotine. I originally gave this a 1. Because of my violent negative reaction to it. But upon further reflection I have to bump to 10 because it was so successful and technically perfect at creating that reaction. I hate the way the image makes me feel. But I love the photographic excellance that made me feel that way! |

Eighty Threeby stare_at_the_sunComment: Meets the challenge definition, I guess. If your goal was to create an emotional reaction in me, it worked! Do I like it? No. Would I like it better w/o blown highlights? Yes. Would I like a more traditional image better? Yes. Do I understand the title? No ... born in '83 maybe? |
