Thanks for the thoughtful critique, I appreciate it. So you know, I shoot for me and not really for ribbons or popular acclaim. In this particular case, I was thinking about the financial crisis and the battering the dollar has taken and there is an element of political commentary in the photo. The orientation was purposeful and preserving the scars on Liberty was purposeful. At least PhotoInterest got the irony.
