Boxerby graphicfunkComment: Yes! A portrait that lets the viewer know a little something about the model... and what a fine example. What I see in this image is a guy who used to be a boxer, or who always wanted to be a boxer but never could; but he still goes out and tapes his hands and takes a few swings. I like how the lighting makes him seem to sweat and adds tension to the image. Although his posed is rather relaxed ... it makes it seem like he's taking a breather in between rounds. Something to keep in mind possible would be to do something slightly more cliche with the model having slightly more of a "gameface" on and maybe winding back to strike a blow... just a thought --- would change some of the idealism behind the image itself.
All in all, i truly admire your work and one day hope to reach your level of creativity. Keep it up!

Old boatby dpdaveComment: I saw this in your multi-image composition and this one stood out. It has a thrilling angle and is nearly a perfect shot in my eyes. The only thing i would change, and it is very very minor, is to clone out the antenna in the bottom right corner. Other than that, this is a shot that would make a fantastic print! ;-) |

Mystic Falls of the Holly Riverby Resusit8uComment: Excellent choice of shutter speed here... I really like this shot. I wonder if you could find a better angle than just straight on, perhapr getting closer and singling out only certain parts of the falls. Definitely worth a reshoot --- wonderful! |

Look out towerby dpdaveComment: There are two things that stand out in this image to me... the framing and the blue sky. The framing draws your eyes towards the subject and that works very well. However, the deep blue of the sky is that makes a flat image turn to a presentably one. Very nicely done. |

Luzzo-Series.jpgby dpdaveComment: Dave, this is a wonderful composite. I really would not change anything to this as it is really well done. Next time that you do something like this.. try experimenting with something like making each boat at a diagonal angle in each corner. It would just make it a little bit more exciting. Very nice colors and charming. Thanks for sharing. |

Enhanced Photo - PSP8by pahlComment: I like what you have done with this one. As soon as I saw the original, I thought that either the bottom should be cropped or that there should have been more detail. Keeping the bottom portion of the image adds a very nice perspective that draws ones eyes from one side of the frame to the other. |

Pining for a Good Huntby OFreasierComment: Very nice capture... zoos are great places to shoot wildlife. Next time you are there... wait for a time of day when the light is less harsh and preferably behind you. This is a little flat and could be improed by using a better time of day like the late afternoon or ealy morning. |

Hummingbird Feasting on a Pink Gladiolaby OFreasierComment: This is a great capture of the hummingbird and I understand how you could have been closer, but it is still a very good capture. For the flowers specifically, I think that a better background could have been chosen in this shot. Next time you go out shooting flowers, take a piece of black velvet or foamcore and use that as an alternate background. I find it very helpful. Message edited by author 2004-12-25 08:29:58. |

Fuchsia Faerieby OFreasierComment: Very beautiful portrait. I really like the soft focus and I am glad that you have managed to get catchlights in the model's eyes. Well done shot here. |
