Springtime at the Farmby grandmarginalComment: This is a place with potential. I think that you have made the most of your conditions there, but try returning when there is a dark and moody sky, just after a storm with clouds and such. This will add much more impact. In this shot, the sky is bland and boring and it takes up literally 1/4 of the photo, so in that regards, 1/4 of the photo is losing its interest due to the uneventfulness of the sky. Sorry to roast, but my other criticism is that the barns have been overly dodged. But don't be disheartened! Get back out there, brave the conditions, and shoot again! |

Ladies in Blackby XileboComment: Good use of backlighting here. I feel that the composition is a little bit awkward and that a smudgeon of fill-flash (perhaps at 1/4 power or strongly diffused) could have been used to bring out the details of that was underexposed due to the starkness of the background and the backlighting. |

Shineby DeniseBernadetteComment: Interesting angle/perspective. I feel that the exposure was difficult but remains satisfactory. |

Swanby PeterCComment: The way that the black background goes about it, it seems as though the swan is sitting on a black surface. I think that you could have brought out the whites a little bit more in the image. I like the use of negative space here. |
