IMG_5557-green-doorby Bear_MusicComment: Ah, bright colors that don't induce acute medical conditions. How delightful! Your recent couple of posts have been a study in the relative nature of bright colors; I never thought I'd look at a photo like this and say "wow, how subdued." |

Le Mainby JutildaComment: Seems rather Creation-of-Man-esque... nicely done. The background textures make for appealing framing. |

Gby KelliComment: Nice candid. The sepia and low-contrast tones lend an air of quiet thoughtfulness. |

Last Light at Frankston Pierby bcenuComment: The lines here are fabulous. Multiple leading lines on the pier, the ridges in the water, the parallel banks of clouds, the even horizon. Nicely presented. |

X marks the spotby nivlekComment: You've almost completely avoided pure black and pure white here, which I like. A lot of the stuff I've been doing lately has had a similarly compressed tonal range; sometimes you just don't need to use the full spectrum. |

spheresby the99Comment: Nice rhythm here. Are the magnets actually different sizes, or is that somehow a byproduct of the angle? |

Nylon Headsby odriewComment: In a way this reminds me of a cross between Wallace and Grommet and some of Jan Svankmajer's short films...
Very weird and I shake my head in wonder at those who pay full sticker price. |

The Fly by IreneMComment: Irene - I was one of your 30 8s. I didn't figure this was yours; the sepia palette seems uncharacteristic for you, and it's the unusual treatment of a very popular subject that caught my eye. Congratulations on your ribbon!
edited because I was apparently out of my mind when I commented initially; I thought this was roz's for some reason. sorry!Message edited by author 2010-08-02 01:30:08. |

Rear Entranceby GermaineComment: Those are some pretty fabulous colors! Nicely spotted and processed--the HDR ultrasaturation works for me here. |
