Wow. that's killer! The bokeh is not particularly striking, but as an example of shallow DOF, it's entirely amazing. Nice muted color palette; good smooth lines. Wouldn't be surprised to see this place; almost expect it to be in the top 10.

Background is a bit confusing, and too close in tonal range to the foreground. Kind of hard to distinguish the shot glasses that are in focus from the blurred background.

it's a bokeh of roses >_<

unfortunately this doesn't seem to meet the challenge, other than in this tangential punny way. the background is completely flat and adds nothing to the image.

Things I notice about this picture.
1. Bright colors. Wow, those mugs are not what you want to see the morning after a lot of heavy drinking.
2. Reminds me a lot of ... oh what was it called, "A Splash of Color," I think, that won a blue ribbon a while back.
3. That is the fullest cup of coffee I have ever seen.

This entry definitely stands out from the rest. Compositionally I find myself wishing that the coffee drops were closer to the 1/3 mark to activate more of the image space.

Bokeh is almost overwhelming! If it were possible to tone down the droplets, I think it would have helped a bit.

One of the more interesting submissions. Since the subjects are so flat (being books) I think that more dramatic lighting would have helped a lot. Interesting juxtaposition, and good title.
