Gerbera in Whiteby MrsFuzzButtComment: Lovely picture! Funky border. I really do love the flower, but I find the triple border quite distracting... it just draws my eye right out of the picture, especially since the focal point is so close to the edge already. |

Translucenceby hannafateComment: Reminds me of a point that graphicfunk made about any given challenge implying its opposites-- he said something to the effect of: "In a 'Black' challenge, there is a place for a mostly white photo," though his phrasing was better. Great photo, but questionable border? |

Peaceby theflyComment: What an interesting and weird flower. Wonderful lighting. I really like the gradient in the background--the white to the light grey is pleasingly subtle. Not to be an anti-noise snob, but I think NeatImage would have been helpful. If you don't have it already, I recommend downloading it (it's free). |

Daffodilby cadbikeComment: Great choice of subject. The bloom itself is in a great crisp focus, and I find myself wishing the stem were also in focus--stop down the camera? Also it might have been worth a try to put a light behind the flower to even out the tones a bit and possibly avoid overexposing the petals at the bottom. |

White Rock White Waterby netdudeComment: Hmm, this seems more to me like "white on light" than "light on white," but I like it anyway. Couldn't guess where this might be in the world except Iceland or Yellowstone, but that probably does nothing but show my provincialism. Great shot. |
