Reilly McBagpipeby Art RoflmaoComment: nice DOF. I like the softness of the processing. Not so sure about the guy's right knee, though :P if you had cropped to just his torso, maybe slightly above the bottom of his jacket, I think I'd like this photo better. |

Mississippi All Starsby glodaComment: great capture of the expressions of the musicians, especially the trombonist. actually, if it were just a picture of the trombonist, I think this picture would have a stronger impact. on the technical side, the contrast is too high (too much pure black and white) and it's oversharpened (esp. the hats and the highlights on the trombone). |

Quasi una fantasia by nico_blueComment: if this is nico_blue, someone needs to give you a wedgie for being (a) talented, (b) intelligent, and (c) beautiful. the pose and the lighting are spot on, and how ever do you keep your figure? |

fruit of our laborby SeanachaiComment: this is a good picture. I hope the connection between the apple and the pregnancy is not lost on the sometimes dimwitted voters. (Sorry, is my frustrating showing through? :P ) |

Simply Irresistibleby NaldComment: looks like you used a flashlight to trace her body. this is an interesting effect, and the soft light it casts on the surrounding fabric is especially pleasing. I wish the flashlight lines hadn't all gone completely white - if you had used an ND filter or a smaller aperture on your camera, you probably could have retained some detail. but the young lady is pretty, and if this isn't scoring as well as you like (I know mine isn't!), don't let her take the score personally! |

Belfry-HiKeyVig_IMG_7230-DPC.jpgby GeneralEComment: I find myself much more drawn to this picture than the challenge entry as well. The post processing makes a huge difference to me: in this one the white space looks intentional, and in the other it looked accidental. This is a gentle and soothing image (and more impressive to me for you use of white, which I am forever afraid to use!). |

Stair detail,SFMOMAby sfaliceComment: wow, this one is very cool. Definitely my favorite of the three. the unusual composition is refreshing, the dark greys beneath the stairs are subtle, and the gradients on the rest of the picture are wonderfully smooth. |

Shower at Duskby PeterCComment: the focus is on the blur. I'm sure you're aware. but that is strange. interesting though it may be conceptually, it doesn't make for a very interesting photograph. |
