Daylight Robberyby AgaricusComment: Funny, I recently saw a squirrel performing some crazy acrobatics in an apparently desperate search for food. This guy was climbing through the upper branches of a persimmon tree, when in order to reach something on a nearby branch, he suspended himself from his little toes, completely upside down, and stretched downward still further. Seeing a squirrel hanging upside down was really weird, and he hung there for kind of a while. Agile little fellow that he was, he finished his business and continued clambering around without a single misstep.
Anyway. I think the major thing this triptych could have used was a closer crop on the squirrel/bird feeder... something that takes us close to the action and really lets us see what's going on. I liked this picture, though - it made me smile.

The Long Flight Homeby RikkiComment: Hm, I should amend my comment from a few hours ago. It looked at first to me like the panels on the left and right were different sizes, but upon review in Photoshop they are exactly the same size. I dunno what was throwing me off visually. That's cool that you did this all with one photograph. I hadn't realized that. Looking at it now, I see that panel 1 is a reversed piece of panel 2. Interesting work. I think this might have been more effective with all three panels being the same size. |

Rags to Richesby dsa157Comment: Oh, man, this was vastly underappreciated! I gave this an 8. Criticisms aside, I think this picture deserved much better than it got. It's such a fun illustration of a good concept. |

Blue Backyardby gsalComment: wow. what a color scheme. I wonder what it would be like to live in a place that looked like that... |

Shaolin Warriorby JasComment: Pretty hardcore. I'd have liked it better if the images blended together - I think the white background studio shot doesn't enhance the effect here. The hovering ball of fire in his left hand is just superb. |

The Long Flight Homeby RikkiComment: great colors. I'm having trouble understanding why all three panels are different sizes, though |

Natureby aussieComment: The only one in this challenge that has this kind of repetition. For that, it's bold. The shapes here are very strong. I think the triplicate imagery is effective. Good work. |

Breakthroughby owenComment: wow, must have been a tough call on the validation here. you've done stuff with selections and overlapping that pushes the limits of what's within the rules. that is most excellent. fabulous work. if this isn't in the top 10, i will sacrifice three goats |
