Beaver Pond Reflectionsby HikerDudeComment: The land itself looks great, but that sky is dead. If the sky looked like that before post-processing, then I guess there wasn't much you could do; the exposure simply received too much light. As it is, the poor control of exposure in the sky really hampers the effect of this photograph. |

Old Ironby BaldurTComment: This photo has great shapes, but it's very flat. It would be nicely at home in a graphic design environment, but for photography, especially in a challenge like this--where everyone is pulling their best tricks out of the bag--some greater depth is really necessary to hold most peoples' interest. |

Londonby lecafeComment: The time lapse, use of light, and composition are well accomplished, but the contrail really ruins this image for me. |

Mommy & Meby lawreeComment: The title implies that "Me" is the baby. Did the baby take this picture? Are you this baby? You have a precocious understanding of the internet and photography. I am sure your mother is pleased. |

Mount Fuji at Sunriseby PedroComment: well, I was going to respond to your PM, but I got to this first, so I'll just comment here ;)
Thanks for remembering my interest in getting a print of this at a custom size. Truth is, I'd probably have bugged you about it by now if my financial situation were still comfortable enough that I could patronize the arts. Things being as they are, I'd have to wait a while anyway, so there's certainly no rush.
(and it goes without saying but - great photo) |

Hangin' Outby secondglantzComment: this is a charming image, but it comes up quite a bit short on the post-processing-
even a quick levels adjustment, some USM, and noise removal on the background make a really noticeable difference-

feel free to drop me a line after the voting is over if you would like to discuss technique in greater detail |
