great choice of subject, and your timing on the shot is good as well. the colors in the sky are lovely. i think it would have been okay to come in a bit tighter on the tree - it would have been nice to see some more definition in the silhouette.

- photo is rather dark - levels need adjustment
- too much room at the top - some cropping would have been in order
- a bit of sharpening would have been okay, too
- i get a sense neither of island nor desert from this photo

The placement of the tree seems a bit awkward. With such a simple composition, the rule of thirds is a useful guideline. I think you should have placed the tree somewhat farther to the left.

The tree itself looks somewhat washed out. A levels adjustment or some burning might have helped.
