Highly effective depiction of inner memory, sinuous pathways and chopped up flashes. Some are still green and fresh, others seemingly dried and gone, but never really so.

This lovely image has the feeling of memory. It fades into but a semblance, it's there but ungraspable, it's like the constant turning of the leaves, it's bright and dark. It's the parent of dreams (just threw that in). Many memories stay sharp and clear, but so often they look like this. Great disposition of colors. I love how the three trees cooperate in establishing a central balance, anchoring the scene.

So often the given title works against itself. Here, though, it invites one into an image that first appears impenetrable. And impenetrability has much to argue for itself, but here the title opens the world. Now the phantasmagorical scene holds infinite meaning, the trajectory of humanity, the microscope of time. The mixture of shades, shapes and rhythm is excellent. The audience below, the performance above, and all extracted by the imagination and the evocative setup.

Rewarding to look at. The handsomely burnished silvers and grays are the fine structure of the whole. The casually placed plates with the leftovers feels natural. Altogether, a work of art.
