Handsome image that's a symphony of textures, shapes and light. Seems to be ice involved here, but I can't really figure out what it all is. No matter. Nice composition, divided off-center, as it is, and subdivided again on the right. The lower right could easily be a range of receding mountains, overhung by an enormous storm cloud. It seems to be part of a whole that is particularly beautiful and evocative. It's the stunning offhand beauty and delicacy that catches the eye of someone who sees openly. All that being said, I feel that to a somewhat significant extent it's the enchanting blue that draws the eye in, at least at first. I'm uncertain about this, it's highly subjective, and hope that the photographer (you) understands this.

Lovely image that displays impermanence and loneliness, as well as an acceptance of nature's random placement of objects on the bed of the stream, or whatever flowing water this may be. The dimple elicits a smile of understanding. The beautiful blue, though, is what I feel to be the primary aspect that draws viewers' attention, which distracts from the point of the challenge. I do like the image, there's tenderness to it. And this is a purely a subjective take.

Certainly a beautiful image. The cracked and refrozen ice interacting with the pebbled shore evokes many emotions, such as impermanence, fragility, tenaciousness, imperfection. My feeling, though, is that it's the gorgeous colors, mainly purple, that grab the attention of the viewer, which is sort of an end run around the esthetic of wabi sabi. I understand that these are the colors that were there, but still find them to be a distraction. On the other hand, one could say that they're a facade, a curtain, that one must see through to arrive at the inner soul of the picture. Don't know, but I lean towards the former impression.

I'm thinking that this is snow atop evergreen needles. Because of differences of the substrates, or anteceding actions, some snow has clumped together to form random patches, like flowers, perhaps mums. It's a peek into time, impermanence, as snow does disappear in wind, warmth and is covered over by ensuing falls. The monotone and contrast bring out the effect. An hour before or after might make all the difference. It also evokes the changing seasons.

The upthrust rocks that were, and still are, embraced by the fallen tree's roots have a unity of form, texture and composition that is satisfying. Yet, the sense of impermanence informs the scene, as the tree is uprooted, but countered by the enduring rocks. It reveals what's below the surface. It offers acceptance of the transitory and renewal. It's untidy and oblivious to ideas of intent and beauty. It just is.

One of three personal favorites of the challenge. Moreover, bumping from eight to ten.
Alive and enchanting, this image abounds in everyday joy, of the activity, the intimacy of the moment, of the place. The expressions of the people on the couch and the blurring more invite you in than feel voyeuristic. The colors are a casual splendor. The arcing feathers, then the broad tips, of the headdress on the farthest woman bring the right side of the image into play.
Seriously underrated, I feel.

Terrific black and white. The airy and sedate room invites the mountain panorama in, then domesticates it through the chair backs and the foliage on the rug. The man reading a newspaper is a perfect touch, an understated focal point. Bon appetit.

As your title goes, the light is the magic and the room is a willing vessel. So full of light it feels like the room is breathing. The toning works well and the intricate composition is balanced.

Didn't comment in this challenge, but I think this is charming, both in and of itself and the casual drift of the notion of parallel. That's my 7.
