A Chance Encounter

Very enjoyable and intriguing film noir image. Beautifully lit amid all the darkness. The guard rails are paid loving attention as well as serving as a frame. The signage and bright lights seem to shed information, but really don't. The encounter itself is literally part of the background, hinting at a cold war border crossing. I even love the paper in the left foreground. A personal favorite.

Beautiful interplay of light and dark, this person coming down a narrow street, furthered narrowed by shadows, seems to be threading a needle. That detail is still visible in the shadowed areas is a further treat.

Riveting image as this person makes his/her glacial way across the wide street amid the garish colors and bustle of modernity. The reflections are pivotal and beautifully captured. Seems so alone.
