Train Tracksby ladpupmoeComment: Nice groomed, formal feel to this elegant little scene. It's no nonsense and forceful, and therefor a strong showing. I like that patch of sky that opens the whole image up. |

Over the mountainsby GeorgesBogaertComment: Good vanishing point under the overpass. What I really like here is the palpable sense of summer heaviness in the atmosphere. And the tacit invitation to travel into those mountains along the tracks. |

Alone on the Roadby AmmieComment: Very elegant serpentine road to a distinct vanishing point. There are great curved and straighter lines in this image. The walker is nicely placed. The trees and their interlaced branches make a beautiful frame.
My only subjective quibble is that I'd like to see a darker overall tone. |

Peachy Keenby MelonMusketeerComment: This vividly colored, almost luridly so, scene looks like a page from a Chamber of Commerce booklet. That's not saying I don't like it. It's verve and ebullience carry the day. |

THE POLEby mrbig65Comment: I like this flagpole of mystery standing proud as a turret. The marbled effect of the cloud bokeh and the entire out of focus feel works surprisingly well. The attention paid to the rope on the cleat is also quite winning. |

The Straight and Narrowby Jules1xComment: Simple but effective image with wood planking that wraps around from fence to pathway, giving subtle volume to the effect. I especially like the vegetation behind the fence that's in the style of Chinese brushwork. |

Centennialby hahn23Comment: Nice scenery threaded by a stream that coyly vanishes and reappears with numerous modest vanishing points created by the viewing angle. It's an interesting take on the challenge, with substantial depth and far-flung rhythm. |

Lighted Sky Bridge to Nowhereby jgirl57Comment: Sci-fi feel, if you ignore what's going on outside the windows. I like the overall blue tone and the multiple recessions to a central vanishing point. The central blue structure is also graphic and abstract. |

to the mountainby skewsmeComment: Pretty spokes of flowers radiating from the treeline. The flowers in the center and on the right, especially, are like those seen in a impressionistic painting. Happy image. |

stillby TiberiusComment: Elegant, atmospheric, European-looking scene, quite cinematic, as in "The Third Man." The vanishing point will be attained eventually, but here it's creatively helped along by the wall on the right truncating the staircase. A shimmering delight. |
