Lovely study of this most appropriately orange Chinese lantern. The detail revealed is fascinating and, coyly, somewhat limited by the depth of field. The lighting is admirable, drawing out its translucence.

A modest yet eloquent portrait. The orange is straightforward in his shirt and more subtly echoed in the background bokeh. And it's set off by the complimentary blues of his eyes and the patch of sky.

Gorgeous dark image with a semi-colon of brilliance. The colors are nicely modulated. The sky looks like marble and there is actually detail in the foreground darkness. The trees look good on the horizon. My only quibble is that the yellow squiggle above the sun, probably unavoidable, is distracting.

Handsome scene. Beautiful, soft light. The way the foreground trees are lopped off, likening them to columns, adds a sense of majesty and intimacy. And the slope is anchored by the horizontal orange-red band on the tree (trees?). A creative way to feature the color by adding it as an understatement, like a touch of lipstick.

Terrific image. I very much like the title. An alternative could be "whee!". There's a great sense of fun and action here. It's like a kid's eye view, standing up in a grocery cart while being pushed at a clip by an older sister or brother towards orange exclamation marks.

I like this photo. It's casual, cheery and surprisingly interesting, full of lines, textures and glowing light, the latter set off by the blue glass of the building's left face.

This is a beautiful image, modest, quiet and finely composed. A peaceful, eternal moment. The orange light on the door is so situated that it could be the sun on the horizon.

The modest orange here is beautifully set off by the expanses of blue. I also like the composition which finds so much of interest in the deep, flat foreground and midground. Subtly stunning.

Amazing, sinuous cityscape flooded by dark sunshine. I love the breadth of this.
A subjective thought -- I'd be curious to see it as a panorama consisting only of the top half (and without the column at the far left), without the tall foreground buildings and what looks like industrial parks. Then the bridge, river and city beyond would seem to disappear like a wafer consumed by sunlight.

Handsome scene in which the wintry mountains are passionately embraced by a gorgeous sunset. It's absorbing to see the oranges transform through red into purple. I like how the image is given space on the right from which the brilliance emerges.
