Seagazerby rosegardenComment: Lonely -- or pensive, nostalgic, thinking of the next meal. The open space makes the case, I guess, so we can travel along the photographer's vision. The centered horizon isn't helpful, otherwise I like its peacefulness. |

I talk to the windby skewsmeComment: The dark foreground and rather lighter mid- and background seemingly deny the viewer any place to light, and so the bird sails on. Effective blend of loneliness and discomfort. |

The sound of windby GeorgesBogaertComment: The choice of a very lonely setting -- landscape, blown out sky, witch's broom - set the stage for this young boy's demoralized appearance. Very strong entry. If the challenge had been "Hangdog", this would win hands (and head) down. |
