Puddle Ridesby DCrest01Comment: Unlike so many amusement parks, this image is delicate, almost demure. The wistful reflection is very nicely framed in the puddle, the plain expanse of ground given plenty of room to establish itself. The white vignette beautifully adds to the overall tenor of the photograph. The tiny bird in the upper right corner is the final grace note. Terrific. |

Reflective Paintby dtremainComment: In your face, as those of great wealth often are, yet lovingly detailed with a tracery of trees. I like the juxtaposition and the crispness of lines and details. Classy, aside from being a Royce. |

combinationsby tnunComment: Lovely image. The cozy couple, shimmering under blue-green stripes, is judiciously placed to view this perplexing, to me, work of art. There's a intriguing softness throughout, a pleasant remove. Quite enjoyable. |

Spirit by Yo_SpiffComment: Great extreme transformation of this airplane. It's utterly mutated, yet apparently still flying. We are introduced into a bizarre new universe. The airplane's colors work perfectly with the sky, and the window dividers seem to be a grid upon which this metamorphosis is plotted. Fascinating and engaging. |

Likenessby markwileyComment: Beautiful image, even thrilling. This reflection world is alluring and just out of reach. Nice palette of light and dark colors. The lower bodies of the actual people are well-integrated into the picture, not intrusive but plainly there. I love how the sky is flattened, looking like a drop-in ceiling.
One of two personal favorites in this challenge. |

Warped by NeatComment: What beautiful distortions here. Imagine an entire cityscape done up this way! Crisply delineated and creamily colored. I want to really see a sky like this, swirling and burgeoning and lined with deep blue. The composition is very pleasing. Excellent image.

Silent Partnersby streetpigeonComment: Thank you Mita.
There is an eye peeping out of the can. As in last December's Pareidolia Challenge, I saw a partial face in the wastepaper basket, and at the moment of recognition I was actually startled. But I suppose this sort of thing is idiosyncratic, and quirks of vision are variously parceled out. For what it's worth, I saw in the toilet paper wrapper a left eye in the blue above the orange, a partial white nose lower and to the right, a white mouth with printing on it below that, and even a necktie below the mouth. The upper right portion of the face is missing.
Can't say that awareness of the face would have made a substantial difference to the viewers, but there it is.
As always, that you for all the comments. |
