Farm yardby AmmieComment: A serene and modest unfolding of receding planes draws the eye through the foreground to the misted mountains beyond. The colors are harmonious. The square format works wonderfully here, embracing the open expanse of sky. A quiet delight. |

boy with a boatby MichaelCComment: An unstudied glance, calm and direct, that captivates the viewer. The blocks of blue and red steady the image admirably, and the composition as a whole is interestingly balanced. Good image. |

Rush of Winterby MargaretNetComment: This looks like the opening sentence of a charming tale, place and atmosphere set out for the reader. It's that feeling of unfolding, from particular to the unknown fog of the outcome. It's a very enjoyable image, and the square format is quite cleverly utilized. I find the lamp a bit distracting, but that's just a subjective quibble, and that's how the scene appears. |

The Dawn of Lifeby Alex_PetriniComment: Very pretty and, an adjective that comes reluctantly into print, organic. Seductively pretty, like marvelous tile work. It's a great pleasure to just allow the colors to lap over oneself. My only quibble is that it seems somewhat awkward in the square format. |

Bri’ the 'Ammerby WarbyComment: A chap what knows knows his own mind, seems to be thinking, "where do you get off..." Or else is going to break into a wide grin. In any case, a strong character. I like how he fills the square frame in his offhand manner. A substantial portrait. |

Contemplationby LuciemacComment: This image has a ying-yang thing going, with a contemplative cat sitting on the middle line, and the luscious gold and blue halves in peaceful opposition. There's an indolence too, a mystical stroll outside time. The square format works well, especially the sense of squaring the circle. Fine photograph. |

Got a light?by markwileyComment: One of those in between moments that stitch the day together. As such, perfectly caught with artful precision. |

Michaelaby MaryOComment: Lovely high key portrait that is gracefully presented within the confines of a square crop. Her expression is mild, her eyes liquid (aside from the static of reflection). I like that her hair hasn't been primped and beautifully catches the light. It doesn't hurt that I see my sister in her. Aside from that last comment, a wonderful image. |

Winter Afternoonby Bear_MusicComment: Here are vertical blinds with shadow cast on them. They are soft and subtle, a blossoming of tones among the stripes, pleasant and haunting. Before the curtain is raised the show has begun. Wonderful image. |

Aren't I Pretty?by illini75Comment: Handsome bird, the crowned pigeon, and well fitted for the square format. The eye and crown are precisely picked out and, with nice bokeh, is a very good study. |
