His face is well picked out by the light streaming through the open door. The entire foreground and background perfectly complement the man. I like how the wide angle lens allows his hands to stretch so far forward and so far back, his arms like the wingspan of an albatross. Then the look on his face is really interesting. I can't fathom it. But this portrait is really fine.

Convincingly old-timey, but then she's in a blue/purple down coat, a hundred years anachronistic. Which makes the image fun and thought provoking. Her face is beautifully lit by the sun. Interesting image.

Beautifully simple, graphically compelling. It's just the sky and a grassy hillside, but you add the grace notes of a tiny airplane to the left and a few observing people to the right, all in silhouette, and you've got an interesting and rather delightful image. Just add water? Much more creative and imaginative it seems. Good work.

Hopefully he's napping or resting, nothing more serious, for the mood is foreboding. It's interesting how he's ensconced in the dark vee shadow, with the lighter triangle complementing his light face. In fact, there are a lot of triangles in this fine image, so perhaps a gentle motif. In the end I find it restful and I'm getting sleepy....

She seems really comfortable in her skin, and her environment. It's as if she's deferring to the hills and the grassy plain. Her face is nicely lit in shadow. Lovely image. I want to know what she's looking at.

A fine study of this gentleman with a clear-eyed gaze. He seems just about to say something, to continue a thought, a conversation that began before the button was depressed. He also has an elfin quality. That's a lot to convey in a portrait of an instant, and it's well accomplished.

Within and without, the car and the storm, the parking lot away from the roads, his quiet demeanor and his inner drift. Could be felt to be claustrophobic, but I, for one, am too drawn into the intimacy. The composition is curiously balanced. In a way he's almost extraneous since the focus appears to be on the mirror. A fine, fascinating image.

Very nice offhand portrait, though my guess is that it's posed. She has a pleasant, dreamy look, kind of like Vermeer's "Girl Withe a Pearl Earring." I like how she's lit from the back and left, leaving the illusion that we're privy to a peek behind the brilliance. The composition is quite nice, filling the frame and offering a dark natural border. Fine image.
