Herne Bay Pierby DistantColoursComment: Evocative blue monochrome that, with blurred sea and sky against the meticulous structures, whispers of eternity. That structure on the right in the deep background secures the composition. Lovely. |

Fine Feathersby GinaRothfelsComment: Beautifully composed guinea fowl, and what an apt subject for a black and white image. You seem to have captured its essence, at least to the extent that we can truly understand him or her. Perfect fade out of the feathers into the background. Wonderful portrait. |

inquietudeby skewsmeComment: Your title certainly nails it. Looking at it, and going beyond the dark bird spreading its wings, reveals nuanced cues -- the advancing foreground shadows and the innocently serene resting gulls; the water edging in from the right; the search for an ambiguous horizon, which hides among clouds that turn out to be land forms. Beautiful and cunning, a stellar scene. |

ritaby jmritzComment: Oh come on, this is very pretty and rewarding. The vertical bar, which I'm supposing didn't go over well, is what gives it it's peek. |

200/68by PennyStreetComment: Lovely pair of realistic abstracts, as I see them. Both are beautifully composed and utilize an impressively minimal palette. I uncharacteristically find this architecture uplifting, no doubt greatly assisted by the artistry of the photographer, which modestly ameliorates my trepidation about progress. Both straightforward and playful. Interesting edging and frame. |

frameby TiberiusComment: Congratulations on the high mark for this striking, inventive, engaging and sensational diptych. As Mariuca said, "Moreover, the diptych can be seen as one image also." It's an extraordinary zipper fertile in possibility. The lines of the jutting bars and knife-edge buildings are entrancing. The details invite exploration. I especially enjoy the gold and green glows emanating from some of the windows.
Personal favorite of the challenge. |

Damas con sombrillas by markwileyComment: Congratulations on the yellow for this buoyant pair of images. Fine choice of shapes and sizes. Also, I like how in the upper portrait the lovely woman has turned to face the camera, suffusing the diptych with intimacy. |
