Curious Connection by SandyPComment: Congratulations. Wonderful, fulfilling and enchanting. So rare that the blue ribbon winner and my personal favorite of the challenge coincide. Faith in humanity restored. Is anyone else reminded of images from the old British Empire? |

Take Me to the Riverby posthumousComment: A bit oblique, but a very fine image. Takes some effort to arrive at the point, but then it stays with you, which is the point. |

You Can't See Themby GeneralEComment: Terrific! This immediately grabs your attention. I very much like the delicate balance of fear and sincere advice. |

COVID-19 PSA by mefnjComment: Excellent! Direct, informative, eye-catching, involving and graphically engaging. The choice of black and white helps focus attention on the essentials. Beautifully done. |

Uncle Bob did not believe in superstitions by MargaretNetComment: Brilliant! The forceful lines, especially the vertical, section off the becoming, sinuous grain. Then, against this bizarre graph, out of a barrel planter, draped in what looks like ear buds, pops stony Uncle Bob, befuddled yet implacable. It's surreal in an intimate, almost natural way, unlike so much surrealism that depends on visual fireworks. Further adding to the disconjunction is the sense that Uncle Bob is a sea creature, head "bobbing" out of the ocean, wreathed in seaweed. Uncle Bob, you're a corker! The black and white treatment is perfect, sharp and moody. The subtle composition is quite satisfying.
Personally, I've been too busy to comment much at all, but it's a pleasure to express appreciation for this startling, vivid image. |
