Puzzling windows but premium viewby pgirish007Comment: I guess the two light beams provide a hook, but I feel that the glittering array of lights in windows is sufficient to showcase the beauty of this urban night. It's innocent voyeurism to flit about, window to window, enjoy the colors and imagine the multitude of stories behind them. Fascinating brocade. |

Taffetaby DistantColoursComment: Figuring this is rime. The window is well-served as nature's canvas. As such, it showcases a natural growth of pattern, enhanced by handsome colors that bring it out. Like marbled paper. A lovely fantasy. |

Midnight Train by njsabsComment: Iconic, cinematic image. Her look, so provocative, can convey a host of moods and emotions. It's a beautifully handled portrait. Fine composition that doesn't seem at all unbalanced. The window, which catches the rain, is also just right. The implication of tears is not lost. |

Looking inby AmmieComment: Beautiful, this handsome cat against the sumptuous red background. It feels so right. I like the processing and the complexity it fosters. No wonder they've been both worshipped and feared.
One thing, though. The diagonal dark line in the upper left, perhaps a handle, keeps drawing my eye away from the cat. |

The Fading of the Lightby Bear_MusicComment: Fine marriage of grim and glitz. They set each other off in exciting fashion. It's like seeing a luminescent fish, a marine bauble, somewhat down in the ocean. It's also a window seen through a window. The mottled, scratchy processing helps further the mood. Well done. |

As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Fallsby skewsmeComment: No need, at least for me, to penetrate this lovely image. The two dimensional surface alone is captivating. The colors and dynamic flow bring to mind a fluttery bird. It's Tiffany without the showmanship. Bestows a giddy smile of appreciation.
Long live Wichita Falls.

reclineby NiallOTuamaComment: So many gentle and disparate hints coming together, a generous and fulfilling whole. The disposition of light and dark is wonderful, the scene through the window is watercolor tender on tissue paper, the plants are guardian spirits, the person on the bed a sublime presence, the foreground glow a portal. The sepia toning is perfect. Additionally, it's both all about the window and what is revealed.
So fortunate to be able to see such beauty.

Rainy Night Contemplations by vawendyComment: Lovely image of this cat behind a rain-bespeckled window, barely caught by the light. If only the muntins were more congenial... |
