Good composition, nicely framed against dark backgroudn makign subject prominent. Image suggests that flash was used though (?) which results in a rather unattracrtive highlight on forehead.

Potentially good subject (not sure about hairstyle :)) but the blurring at edges looks very unatural and adds nothing. Otherwise colours and composition are appealing.

A good subject but this feels like a snapshot. A bit more time spent on trying alternative angles and compositions would have yielded an improved image in my view.

As a portrait I find this image too grainy and washed out in the highlights. It fails to move me to want to knwo more about the models

Nice try but it is too obviously posed and the model appears ill at ease with the instrument. The face is also the last thing my eye comes to rest on since the frame is dominated by the rest of her body and the shiny trumpet.

The backdrop is a bit messy also in the bottom left. A drape of this kind is fine but put it slightly out of focus by using a narrow depth of field in order to lose the wrinkes and focus more attention on the model.

Technically a fine portrait with efective lighting, framing and colour. but it lacks emotion - I sense little of the character of this person and in this sense it lacks an essential quality of portraiture.

For me, a portrait needs to communicate something of the person's character. I'm not sure what to take from this photo. Is this meant to be amusing? Is she a comic character? Is this apoking fun at the viewer. I'm confused.

Everyone may point this out but I feel I should justify a 1. this is not a portrait.

With an excellent model like this why did you stick her in front of an out of focus painting of someone else? Or was this intentional - is this her in the background? But having to ask that question negates the harmony and beauty of the model's pose. A 7 when it might have been an 8 or 9.

A great opportunity for a portrait. This feels candid though, whuich is fine except the presence of the person in the backgroudn is distracting because she is not engaging the viewer by looking at the camera. this introduces a tension that conflicts with the obvious attractiveness of the subject.
