Smoke on the waterby bobdaveantComment: Very nice, good lighting and regardless of 'what is smoke' I think it fits the challenge well :) Would make a great print. |

Old No. 11by GeneralEComment: I don't get to see trains like that in the UK, nice shot, would like to see a little more smoke but meets the challenge well. Tthe foreground seems a little blown to me. |

Chugging Uphillby SammieComment: Nice shot, but looks a little over processed to me? (maybe my monitor). yes, there is plenty of smoke. Steam trains are great, slightly different crop and you may have a postcard here. |

WMD Pale Aleby Dr.ConfuserComment: Nice shot, well executed. A little more sharpness on the smoke would have made this a winner for me but as is, the 'pouring' effect great.
*vote watcher?* the 1 you just saw was a bump :) |

Purple Hazeby xtabintunComment: This is a very clever (and well thought out) shot. Its screaming b&w to me and will maybe add to the atmosphere?
* vote watcher?* the two you just saw was a bump :) |

Smoke on the waterby alphakappaComment: Dark monitor syndrome here, glad I'm on a comment quest. downloaded the image a lightened to better suit my aging monitor.
Great shot, fits the challenge well, the reflections of colour on the water really add to this :)
* vote watcher just seen a 1? it was a bump :) * |

"When All Candles Be Out ..."by e301Comment: Very nice shot :) I'm a smoke lover and love the shapes made here. The right smoke is excellent but I wonder if the smoke was a touch sharper at the edges. I mentioned this on another (similar) shot and would prefer the smoke to either finish within the image or be allowed to continue through the frame to the edge.
I'd probably hang this on my wall if it was my work.
again, if your a vote watcher, the 1 you just saw was a bump ;) |

Mystiqueby ZoomdakComment: Very clever shot :) did you try cropping the right third out? I know its a smoke challenge but think it may look better without the dense smoke on the right and may give more focus on the droplet. I trust the 'how I did it' will appear after the challenge?
If your a vote watcher that 1 you just saw was a bump :) |

Where there's smoke there was fire!by JeanComment: Simple and effective, I like the space and the red adds that little extra to the overall image. I'm not sure about the frame, I think it may have looked better with the smoke leaving the top of the pic rather than being stopped by the frame ?? |
