Wow Kevin, you really stirred 'em up didn't you? :) I think it's a fantastic photo, and it really should have received the blue ribbon. If it wasn't for a few "Oh-I-just-need-to-act-soooo-offended-so-people-will-think-I'm-a-good-person" types, then you probably would have. Way to go! True art!

The spiral with the necklace was a good idea. Cropped too tight though, and the shallow DOF doesn't work.

Very nicely done. I like the pose, lighting, and background. Maybe it's the light skin and blond hair against the black background, but I get the feeling it's a bit over exposed. The skin tones look too white. Overall, it's a very nice portrait in my opinion.

Nice lighting and focus. The eyes and skin tones are very nice. The hair could use some work, and I don't like the placement of the hands. The same pose without the hands and glasses and with the hair tamed just a touch would probably look great.
