Lovely colors and forms, but the focus seems to be at the back of the frame, giving the hands a waxy look.

very nice textures, the slackening of skin in both hands and face is well rendered here. I don't think the title helps you because I see less fretting than deliberation in his face, and your title tells me something I don't see. Great DOF and the slide of tones across the frame really centers the eye on the facial features and the hamds. Is this John's? It has his quality, ought to ribbon.

The base of the thumb in the upper left corner is distracting and out of focus. The rest of the frame is amazing. Just perfect postprocessing to get all these tones and textures. top ten. bumping up on review of the whole lot.

Dark and brooding by desing, but I wish there was just a bit more in the highlights, still it looks like Julia M. Cameron might have done this shot, at least in the mood and tones.

best so far. The subject matter may put people off, but if you can get around that, with the exception of the slightly soft focus of the gloved hand in the foreground, the framing and processing are perfect.

The tree in the backround is distracting, the colors seem oversaturated and the textures suffer from too much USM, but I like the framing and subject, but the pink-red skin against the electric blue of the sky dosen't do the shot justice.

the hammer dominates the frame, the man's hands fade into the backround. Those are my complaints. the positives are the way you lead the eye in from the corners and a very nice idea. more care witht he setup and lighting is neede to make the shot as good as the idea.
