Cozy by the ....by vtruanComment: What a great context to put this challenge in! I have several pictures like this of my own, and appreciate the break from the other more dramatic entries.
Since as is, I'd put this on my desk at work, this is only a suggestion to try: a little fill flash from the camera will lighten the shadows from the sleeping child, allow faster shutter speed (which brings in detail on the flames). On my flash, 1/4 power never seems to wake the child, which is an added bonus.
Thanks for sharing this. |

Burning the Midnight Oilby drydocComment: The lantern is overexposed (no detail in the highlights.) That aside, great composition. This was a nice break fro all the flames. |

Waning Fireby ArtifactsComment: I was wondering if anyone would do something like this. Biggest fire I know about, and done with interesting colors. |

Fire Worksby dinnComment: Hello Melbourne? Either way, the flames are overexposed, but other than that, this is good. |

Should have picked those 2 HOT PEPPERS yesterday!by RasaiComment: Burning fruit in a photo competition? Is that even legal?
Doesn't matter. I really like this. Lighting is great, and the dark background works really well. Only issue I see is some slight background artifacts at the bottom that distract a littl. |

Heart burnby neenee1999Comment: OK, a chuckle is worth a couple of points. Match is pixelated though, and that hurts the score a little. |
